2018 – present (ongoing).
With this piece I’m aiming to embroider one of everything, which might take a while. The plan is to connect them all and interweave the loose threads at the back to show how everything is interconnected, even though we don’t always perceive it that way on the surface.
Miniature sculptures in ordinary places, 2009 – 2011.
My practice at the time centred on audience participation and contemporary cultural mindsets; I created mundane situations and injected them with flashes of light-hearted humour and diversion, focusing on ideas of play, imagination and exploration.

Ballyfermot/Chapelizod Partnership, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10. February – April 2013.
I designed, facilitated and project managed a graffiti and mural workshop with adults from the local community which centred on public vs. personal perceptions of disability. I tailored each session and the general workshop direction to suit the needs, desires and varied ability levels of the participants. We created a large canvas which was exhibited in the Ballyfermot Library.

Focus Ireland, Dublin. May – August 2016.
I designed, managed and facilitated a number of art workshops with homeless adults, culminating in collaborative artworks for display in the Focus Ireland café/offices and the Stanhope Green residential service. These included a large painting based on colour mixing exercises, a weaved fabric piece and a weaved recycled materials sculpture that was suspended from the ceiling in a large communal meeting space.
Independent feature film produced by Weird Pretty Pictures. July-August 2010.
I built and decorated a bespoke doll’s house for this film, with front and side opening walls and a removable rear bay window section for ease of filming. I also built a large cage (and miniature dolls house version) and created the covers and insets of some book props.

As Art Director I researched, designed and created a range of period 1:5 and 1:25 scale props and sets for this short film.
Music Video. May 2016.
I wrote, directed and co-edited this music video for Rory Grubb’s song Childlike You, along with creating all the props, set dressing and doing costume and makeup.
50m x 2m school mural.

I designed and painted this mural on the entire perimeter of a school yard. It was comprised of a series of fantasy scenes, for the children to use as backdrops for games.

Large mosaic with tiles, shells and found objects. Created in collaboration with artist Heather Gray.
Connemara, 2018.
This isn’t a painting, but I didn’t know where else to put it. Heather and I created this mosaic for a local artist, on the wall of a little workshop space in her garden. She had been dreaming of it for years and collecting materials, but she wasn’t able to create it herself. The scene is the view from the local beach, of the Arran Islands.
